Bhopal Gas: Stop Pension
The M.P.state government had set up a legal committee to submit report on and giving advice for further action after judgment in the Gas Episode. The committee has as a routing, without any special recommendation said that an appeal may be filed against the judgment of the trial court and Curative Petition be filed before the Supreme Court. I think nothing will come out of it except enhancement of fine from 5 to 10 lacs. But it will not result in any other effective measure. I was thinking that the committee will recommend some exceptional measures against the officials and the politicians. Firstly the then The Chief Secretary, The HomeSecretary,Collector, DGP, SP,Bhopal, Swarajpuri and other high officers should be taken to task and their pension should be stopped forth with. Pension of Arjunsing should also be stopped who is getting it as ex Minister ex M.P. and ex Governor.D.E. Should be initiated against all officials and their pension should be stopped for ever. They deserve such punishment. The bureaucrats and police are known for corrupt practices and this is how they have proved. Arjunsing had never proved to be a man of high reputation. All are shoe lickers. Voting right of officers including Arjunsing should be stopped for six months.
Justice M.W.Deo the then District Judge, Bhopal had for the first time propounded the theory of interim relief in the cases of Gas victims and for that Lord Dinning the then Master of Rolls(M.R.)that is the Chief Justice of Britain had personally wrote a letter congratulating him for such pronouncement. But he was never respected in the judiciary and in the eyes of the government. He was badly ignored. This is how our governments are. The integrity and honesty of governments had never been a matter of honour for Indians and the result is that the people have also become dishonest.
